THE CLASSICAL MUSIC CLUB STUDENT GRANTS
The Student Grant Scheme was founded in 2014, becoming an important addition to the Classical Music Club’s objectives of keeping classical music alive and vibrant in the adult amateur arena, by  also  recognizing  and  encouraging  talented young students to achieve their potential as classical musicians.
Through the club membership, musical groups in the community, individual interested persons, and special fundraising concerts, enough money was raised to fund 8 aspiring young instrumentalists over the following 3 years: 2015-2017 at around $1,000 each.
The recipients of the grants were:
2015 Sam Malone -double bass;  Jasmine Christian -violin;
2016 Michaela Bannerman- flute; Jessica Bannerman- trombone; Ben Malone- classical guitar
2017 Sarah Tomlinson- violin; Jack Clarke- violin; Olivia Yearsley- piano

WE INVITE TUTORS IN THE AREA TO NOMINATE ANY TALENTED INSTRUMENTAL STUDENTS WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM FINANCIAL HELP WITH TUITION ETC.
DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS : AUGUST 31 2017
Please refer to the Letter to tutors, outlining this proposal and citing the criteria for selection.
